Ultra-sound of a Baby in the womb

Friends,

This area of our web site is dedicated to the unborn. The most defenseless innocent among us. Please send me any information you need posted. Webmaster

Ronald Reagan

"Abraham Lincoln recognized that we could not survive as a free land when some men could decide that others were not fit to be free and should therefore be slaves. Likewise, we cannot survive as a free nation when some men decide that others are not fit to live and should be abandoned to abortion or infanticide."

Pope Benedict XVI

"This direct destruction of an innocent human life can never be justified, however difficult the circumstances that may lead some to consider taking such a grave step. When you preach the Gospel of Life, remind your people that the right to life of every innocent human being, born or unborn, is absolute and applies equally to all people with no exception whatsoever."

Archbishop Charles Chaput

“Notre Dame’s leadership has done a real disservice to the Church, and now seeks to ride out the criticism by treating it as an expression of fringe anger. But the damage remains, and Notre Dame’s critics are right. The most vital thing faithful Catholics can do now is to insist – by their words, actions and financial support – that institutions claiming to be “Catholic” actually live the faith with courage and consistency. If that happens, Notre Dame’s failure may yet do some unintended good.”

Msgr. Ignacio Barreiro Carámbula

"All persons of good will need to understand the clear and present danger with which the US is being menaced by the health reform proposed by the Obama Administration. Abortion will be multiplied, the U.S. will move ahead on the road towards euthanasia, conscience rights will be in jeopardy: but what is worse, the United States would start moving towards a tyrannical, socialist government that would be the source of all sort of moral evils."

Pope John Paul II

"At the same time a new cultural climate is developing and taking hold, which gives crimes against life a new and – if possible – even more sinister character, giving rise to further grave concern: broad sectors of public opinion justify certain crimes against life in the name of the rights of individual freedom, and on this basis they claim not only exemption from punishment but even authorization by the State, so that these things can be done with total freedom and indeed with the free assistance of health-care systems."

Georges Bernanos

"If someone were to ask me what is the most general symptom of this spiritual anemia, I would surely reply: indifference to both truth and falsehood. Today, propaganda proves whatever it wants to, and people more or less passively accept whatever it suggests... Called upon to side with truth or falsehood, good or evil, Christian man pledged his soul at the same time, that is to say he risked his salvation. Metaphysical faith was in him an inexhaustible source of energy. Modern man is still capable of judging, since he is still capable of reasoning. But his judgment doesn't function anymore than a motor functions without fuel, no part of the motor is missing, but there is no gas in the tank."

"To many people, this indifference to truth and falsehood seems more comic than tragic. I find it tragic...For years, millions and millions of people in the world have not only allowed their freedom of thought to be torn away by force; they have voluntarily abandoned it, and will again, as in Soviet Russia. They consider this sacrifice laudable. Or rather, it isn't any sacrifice for them, but a habit which simplifies man terribly. The killers for the totalitarian regimes are recruited from among these terribly simplified men."

Bob Dornan, former U.S. Congressman

"When our laws tell people that what lies behind the thin wall of a women's abdomen during pregnancy is not a human being and that the destiny of a preborn child lies with the private conscience of the mother, we are essentially telling society that life itself is not important enough to be called an inalienable right. If life itself is not the most fundamental of all rights, then what is?"

Bishop Fulton J. Sheen, Ph.D., D.D.

Now there are those who would patrol life, not after it becomes a harvest but while it is seed in the granary. The new kind of vigilance would not wait until the fruit appeared on the tree, as did Hitler and others, but would stifle the blossoms and the buds. They would take up their watch at the borderline of love and life and say, "They shall not pass."

Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

"We must not be surprised when we hear of murders, of killings, of wars, of hatred. If a mother can kill her own child, what is left but for us to kill each other."

Ronald Reagan

“The real question today is not when human life begins, but, What is the value of human life? The abortionist who reassembles the arms and legs of a tiny baby to make sure all its parts have been torn from its mother's body can hardly doubt whether it is a human being. The real question for him and for all of us is whether that tiny human life has a God-given right to be protected by the law— the same right we have.”

Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

"America needs no words from me to see how your decision in Roe v. Wade has deformed a great nation. The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men. It has shown violence and discord at the heart of the most intimate human relationships. It has aggravated the derogation of the father’s role in an increasingly fatherless society. It has portrayed the greatest of gifts ~ a child ~ as a competitor, an intrusion, and an inconvenience. It has nominally accorded mothers unfettered dominion over the independent lives of their physically dependent sons and daughters. And in granting this unconscionable power, it has exposed many women to unjust and selfish demands from their husbands or other sexual partners. Human rights are not a privilege conferred by government. They are every human being’s entitlement by virtue of his humanity. The right to life does not depend, and must not be declared to be contingent, on the pleasure of anyone else, not even a parent or a sovereign.”

Alice von Hildebrand

"...is it surprising that today we have become so morally blind (for wickedness blinds) that we save the baby whales at great cost, and murder millions of unborn children?"

Thomas Jefferson

"The care of human life and happiness and not their destruction is the first and only legitimate object of good government."

Dr. Seuss, Horton Hears a Who ~

"A person's a person, no matter how small."

G.K Chesterton

"To have a right to do a thing is not at all the same as to be right in doing it."

Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

"It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish."

Fr. Robert Spitzer, S.J.

"Though you may have not formally studied philosophy, though you may not have imagined yourself as a champion of inalienable rights and the common good or seen yourself as a defender of the intrinsic dignity of personhood within the culture, there is no one more suited to the task of rescuing the culture than you...Whatever our call might be, no matter how grand or small, we must commit ourselves to doing something, for this is true freedom."

Susan B. Anthony, The Revolution, July 8, 1869

"Guilty? Yes. No matter what the motive, love of ease, or a desire to save from suffering the unborn innocent, the woman is awfully guilty who commits the deed. It will burden her conscience in life, it will burden her soul in death; But oh, thrice guilty is he who drove her to the desperation which impelled her to the crime!"

South Dakota Governor Mike Rounds

"In the history of the world, the true test of a civilization is how well people treat the most vulnerable and helpless in their society...unborn children are the most vulnerable and most helpless persons in our society."

Science Undermines Abortion Activists, Catalyst, January-February 2008

"More proof that science is the enemy of the pro-abortionists can be seen in reading their reaction to sonograms. NARAL and Planned Parenthood have done everything they can to keep women ignorant about the latest scientific advances. That is why they oppose virtually every state and federal law allowing for informed consent. They are positively frightened by ultrasound pictures. Indeed, an abortionist from Long Island recently admitted that 'no woman is going to want an abortion after she sees a sonogram.' He’s afraid he may lose his job."

Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

"Abortion kills twice. It kills the body of the baby and it kills the conscience of the mother. Abortion is profoundly anti-women. Three quarters of its victims are women: Half the babies and all the mothers."

Congressman Henry Hyde, during his floor debate remarks pushing for a ban against Partial Birth Abortion in 2000

"We are knee-deep in a culture of death. ... Look, in this advanced democracy, in the year 2000, is it our crowning achievement that we have learned to treat people as things? Our moment in history is marked by a mortal conflict between a culture of life and a culture of death. God put us in the world to do noble things, to love and to cherish our fellow human beings, not to destroy them. Today we must choose sides." ("Today" could be any day...)

Dietrich Bonhoeffer

“Destruction of the embryo in the mother’s womb is a violation of the right to live which God has bestowed on this nascent life. To raise the question whether we are here concerned already with a human being or not is merely to confuse the issue. The simple fact is that God certainly intended to create a human being and that this nascent human being has been deliberately deprived of his life. And that is nothing but murder.”

Proverbs 31:8

"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves"

Henry Hyde

"When the time comes as it surely will, when we face that awesome moment, the final judgment, I've often thought, as Fulton Sheen wrote, that it is a terrible moment of loneliness. You have no advocates, you are there alone standing before God and a terror will rip through your soul like nothing you can imagine. But I really think that those in the pro-life movement will not be alone. I think there will be a chorus of voices that have never been heard in this world but are heard beautifully and clearly in the next world and they will plead for everyone who has been in this movement. They will say to God, "Spare him because he loved us," and God will look at you and say not, "Did you succeed?" but "Did you try?"

Jeremiah 1:5

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you... "

Cardinal Avery Dulles, S.J.

“Many politicians, like much of the American public, seem to be unaware that abortion and euthanasia are serious violations of the inalienable right to life. These are not just 'Church' issues but are governed by the natural law of God, which is binding upon all human beings. The right to life is the most fundamental of all rights, since a person deprived of life has no other rights.”

Msgr. Vincent Foy, PhD.

"Abortion kills the body of the victim and the soul of the killer, but not the soul of the victim. That soul will live forever in God's love, with that degree of happiness which God's love and mercy bestows. The crime of abortion is nearly always a chain sin. A cluster of persons share the guilt: abortionist, assistants, office staff, hospital management, advertisers and responsible politicians - and those who remained passive when they should have spoken or acted or prayed."

Bishop Robert J. Hermann

"Satan is having a heyday in our midst, because he has managed to remain invisible in the culture of death, and our laxity has granted him that luxury. Since we are not steeped in the Word of God as we should be, we do not recognize his darkness in our society."

Elie Wiesel, Holocaust Survivor

"I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented."

Fr. John Neuhaus

"The contention between the culture of life and the culture of death is not a battle of our own choosing. We are not the ones who imposed upon the nation the lethal logic that human beings have no rights we are bound to respect if they are too small, too weak, too dependent, too burdensome. That lethal logic, backed by the force of law, was imposed by an arrogant elite that for almost forty years has been telling us to get over it, to get used to it.

But "We the People," who are the political sovereign in this constitutional democracy, have not gotten over it, we have not gotten used to it, and we will never, we will never ever, agree that the culture of death is the unchangeable law of the land."

Matthew 19:14

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.

Elder Council Knights installing crosses

The Knights and parishioners installed over 4000 white crosses on the grounds facing Miami Ave. to mark our support of "life" - both born and unborn - and as a visual reminder of the 4000 abortions that take place daily across the United States of America.

Knights of Columbus Archbishop Elder Council 1195 Pro-Life Challenge Fall 2010

Brother Knights,

As we approach the 2010 40 Days For Life initiative (September 22 – October 31), we know that the sanctity of human life – from conception to natural death – is under attack in our country like never before. This is particularly true for women who are pre-abortive (considering an abortion) and post-abortive (those experiencing the pain of loss after an abortion). The choice these women are about to make, or have made, will have a profound effect on them for life and will shape how they view themselves and their relationships with family, friends, and the Lord.

The Women’s Center for Health, Hope, and Healing, Inc. – led by Dr. Joe Gubasta – is a leading provider of services to these women here in Cincinnati. Located at 3228 Jefferson Ave. (across the street from the Women’s Med+ Center abortuary) and in business since 2004, Joe provides a wide spectrum of services beyond those of the traditional pregnancy center. While he provides counseling and ultrasounds that have effectively prevented abortions (500 confirmed births since 2004), his outreach to women impacted by abortion does not stop there.

He has developed an approach to helping post-abortive women resolve the physical, emotional, and spiritual scars that come with the loss of a baby. This approach helps these women to become pro-life advocates for others in their community considering the abortion decision. Ultimately, Joe believes that the path toward ending abortion will depend on women coming together and speaking out with a collective voice about the evil of abortion and the destruction that it has caused in their lives.

The Challenge:

The Archbishop Elder Council is proud to support life during these turbulent times! We are challenging all Cincinnati Knights of Columbus chapters to join us in this fight! Our goal is to raise a minimum of $6000 to help the Women’s Center for Health, Hope, and Healing, Inc. continue its good work in the community. The Archbishop Elder council is prepared to match dollar-for-dollar all donations up to $3000 for a total of $6000 pledged. Any funds over and above the $3000 will be donated to the Women’s Center for Health, Hope, and Healing, Inc. as well. Please note that Joe’s organization has 501(c)(3) designation as tax-exempt.

This challenge continues thru Nov. 15. Please solicit donations in the name of this important pro-life cause in your home parishes. Checks should be made out to Women’s Center for Health, Hope, and Healing, Inc. and can be sent directly to Joe at: Women’s Center for Health, Hope, and Healing, 3228 Jefferson, Cincinnati, OH 45220.

Please note on your donation "K of C Challenge".

Whether or not your council is able to help financially, we ask for your ongoing prayers for expectant mothers, the unborn, the Pro-Life movement, and the success of this initiative. If you have questions about the challenge, please contact me at the address above or at tjhahn@cinci.rr.com . Vivat Jesus!

Yours in Christ,

Message from President & CEO Women’s Center for Health, Hope, & Healing, Inc

Trust is based on one’s confidence and assurance that what is promised will be produced. Performance is everything when asking other people to give of their time, talent and treasure. Promises ring hollow when they are not followed with consistent results. This monthly report highlights the dedicated work of several skilled women who every month since 2004, when the Women’s Center opened, helped hundreds of expecting mothers avoid the trauma and tragedy of abortion.

The following graph shows what was accomplished by the relatively few dollars donated in 2010 to the nonprofit Women’s Center for Health, Hope, & Healing, Inc., by people like you. The 62 confirmed birth’s is a conservative number because it does not include other clients expected to deliver their babies so far this year but we are unable to reach them for confirmation. In addition, fifty-two of our active clients reported they experienced 79 previous pregnancy and infant losses in various ways. Many of these women suffer serious unresolved emotional and spiritual pain. Helping them address their pain is something we’re poised to do with additional support.

Data from the Women's Center (click here for larger picture!)

In recent years the Women’s Center has become a learning laboratory to study and find effective ways to better serve troubled pregnant women. Our Center staff specializes in helping these women. When first seen two-thirds of our clients were abortion vulnerable. That number is consistently cut in half after our services. In the Center’s first four years of service (2005-2008), local abortions declined by 770 or 400% over the net decline of only -193 between 1996-2004. We played a significant role in that reduction and can do even better with additional trained staff and funding.

As we look back on our accomplishments it’s obvious our strategy to change hearts not laws to reduce abortions in the Cincinnati Metro Region is working. As we look ahead to the remainder of this year and next it is in pursuit of a clear vision, plan and a process we’ve developed to expand our work and serve many more women. Our work and its future success is near at hand and does not depend on outsiders involved in politics or the courts to make something happen. Rather, we plan to do something more, i.e., offer women the help, hope, and healing they desire and deserve.

The Women’s Center is a nonprofit charity supported by tax-deductible donations from the general public, plus other organizations and churches. If you helped us in the past, thank you! If you are passionate about helping women become the “hearts of their families” instead of becoming broken hearted why not help us offer them the hope and healing they need? Donations should be sent to the Women’s Center at the address on this report or can be made through PayPal as found on the Women’s Center for Health, Hope, and Healing, Inc., Facebook Fan Page. Thank you for your generosity!

Sincerely yours,

Politically Correcting the Abortion-Breast Cancer Link

Politically Correcting the Abortion-Breast Cancer Link

by Gerard M. Nadal, Ph.D.

“The first casualty when war comes is truth.”

So said Senator Hiram Johnson a century ago, and his words remain true today in the war declared on Christian Civilization. The pivotal battle in this war is the issue of abortion, as abortion strikes at the very sanctity of human life: of motherhood, fatherhood, family and the very essence of who we are, in Whose image we are made. So desperate are abortion’s proponents to present it as an absolute good, that clear and consistent data establishing a link between abortion and breast cancer have been actively denied by some of the very authors who discovered them, as they drafted a National Cancer Institute policy paper denying the existence of fifty years of data linking abortion and breast cancer. more of the article

The biology behind the issue is relatively straightforward. During puberty, girls produce 15-25 lobes in the breast, which will produce milk after the births of their babies. Each lobe may be thought of as a main branch of a tree. These lobes branch into several lobules. Under the influence of the menstrual hormones estrogen and progesterone, immature and cancer-susceptible Type-1 and Type-2 lobules form.

During normal pregnancy the ovaries secrete elevated levels of estrogen and progesterone, which cause the Type-1 and Type-2 lobules to increase in number. By mid-second trimester the breast size has doubled and rapidly matures under the influence of human placental lactogen. By 40 weeks of pregnancy, 85% of all lobule cells will be cancer-resistant Type-4 cells.

After a woman is finished nursing, many Type-4 cells will revert to Type-3 cells with evidence existing that genetic changes in these cells leave them cancer-resistant.

The mechanism by which abortion, oral contraceptives and combined hormone replacement therapy leaves women susceptible to breast cancer becomes evident since the biological basis for all three risks is the same. In terminating a pregnancy before a first full term pregnancy, the breasts have drastically increased Type-1 and Type-2 cells (leaving the breasts with more places for cancers to start), but have been denied the maturational and protective benefits of the last trimester. The birth control pill mimics this process on a monthly basis.

Miscarriage is an exception, as most women never produce significantly elevated levels of estrogen in these pregnancies.

Dozens of studies dating to the late 1950s have established links between abortion and breast cancer, ranging from over doubled risks in teens to an incalculably high breast cancer risk for women who have abortions before age 18 as well as family history of the disease. Most of these studies are retrospective. That is, they take breast cancer patients and a group of healthy control subjects and ask questions about past gynecologic and reproductive history, including answering questions about prior abortions.

Incredibly, Dr. Louise Brinton of the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics, National Cancer Institute (NCI), chaired a panel in 2003 that dismissed the findings of these peer-reviewed studies (including her own), claiming the women involved were subject to “recall bias,” as though women who have had abortions are likely to forget.

Scientists have tested for recall bias on many occasions, in several different countries, but no scientists today claim to have found credible evidence of it. Nevertheless, Brinton’s workshop produced a “Fact Sheet” which summarily dismissed all credible data establishing a link between abortion and breast cancer.

The NCI workshop looked at only a few prospective studies, those relying on medical records before a patient developed breast cancer, and which were subsequently shown in medical journals to be methodologically flawed. The depth and breadth of the methodological flaws exceeds the limits of this article, but may be found at the Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer (ABC). ABC links to excellent articles here and here by Joel Brind, Ph.D., of Baruch College, City University of New York, which critique the flaws in NCI’s workshop and in the prospective studies used.

Brinton was part of a research team led by respected cancer researchers Janet R. Daling and Jessica M. Dolle of the world-renowned Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, which published a paper last year: Risk Factors for Triple-Negative Breast Cancer in Women Under the Age of 45 Years, in the Journal Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention.

This 2009 paper, under known and suspected risk factors, reports a statistically significant 40% increased risk of breast cancer. That’s an astounding admission from coauthor Brinton, in light of her NCI denial of such a link, as is this quote from the results section of the paper:

In analyses of all 897 breast cancer cases, the multivariate-adjusted odds ratios for examined risk factors were consistent with the effects observed in previous studies on younger women. Specifically, older age, family history of breast cancer, earlier menarche age, induced abortion, and oral contraceptive use were associated with an increased risk for breast cancer.

The “previous studies” which Brinton’s study mentions include studies conducted in 1994 and 1996 by this same team of researchers. Brinton served as co-author in the 1996 study. Although Brinton and the NCI had said that studies relying on women’s reports of abortion histories were flawed, Dolle’s team (which included Brinton) relied on women’s self-reports of abortion histories.

This 2009 paper was picked up by the pro-life blogosphere in January of this year and created a firestorm. A notation was subsequently added to the NCI Fact Sheet that states: “Reviewed 1/12/2010”. No change in policy or the webpage was made.

Thus, there is a compelling incongruity between the NCI and its branch chief’s denial of the link between abortion and breast cancer on the one hand, and what its branch chief’s research has reported before and since.

Women are dying, and continue to contract breast cancer at frightening rates. Yet abortion’s proponents have engaged in scientific misconduct at the highest levels: reporting the truth in journals, then publicly dismissing those data in a Procrustean attempt to accommodate a political agenda, leaving millions of women’s lives compromised as a result.

Dr. Nadal holds a Ph.D. in molecular microbiology. In addition to teaching for 16 years, he's spent seven years working with homeless teens at Covenant House in Times Square, New York. He is currently pursuing an M.A. in theology through Franciscan University of Steubenville and blogs at http://gerardnadal.com.

Goal Attained: Thank You Letter from Health Beginnings, Dated December 14th, 2009

On behalf of our president and the Board of Directors, I want to thank all of the
members of your council and the many others, who participated in raising the more
than $18,000 in matching funds for the Ultrasound Capital Campaign. I think you
could tell at the presentation, how excited we were to receive such a large gift. It
means so much more, knowing that many individuals gave from the heart, small gifts
and large, to make this happen. We feel like you are truly partners with us in this
important work. What we do here will have lasting, eternal results because of all of
you.

It is especially poignant at this time of year when I think about how our Lord came to
give us new life, to have experienced the generosity of the Knights of Columbus.
Thank you very, very much, and may God be with you in everything you do.

Merry Christmas!

Brother Knights, in this fraternal year, our commitment to the Catholic belief in the Sanctity of Life has been under attack as never before! We believe it is time to put our faith into action, and we are calling upon you, our brothers, to join us!

We have been informed that an ultrasound machine is needed in the Cincinnati Area. Healthy Beginnings is a Christian based organization that reads the ultrasounds for 18 Pro-Life clinics throughout the city. They told us a machine is needed at the Pregnancy Center West but also would be used at other pregnancy centers as well. As you may know, the ultrasound machine is the most feared piece of equipment by the pro-aborts. Why? Because it dispels all doubts an expectant mother may have that they are truly carrying another life within them. When that Truth hits home, many mothers turn away from the secular lies they have been subjected to, and choose life.

Here's our challenge to you:

We have been informed that a machine is currently desperately needed in the Cincinnati area. The MSRP for an individual machine is about $50,000. Other donors have already put up a sizeable amount of money. Nine thousand dollars ($9000) is all that is needed to purchase an ultrasound machine for use at the various Centers.

We at Archbishop Elder Council are actively choosing life! We are putting our money where our mouth is, and we will match our brother Knights’ donations, up to a total of $4000 for the machine, in order to purchase this life saving piece of equipment. We challenge your council to hopefully match us, or at the very least, make whatever contribution you can to help this cause. Any funds raised that exceed the amount needed to buy the machine will be donated, equally, between pregnancy centers throughout the greater Cincinnati area. (See website for centers).

We are running this challenge until October 15, 2009. We will turn-in the collected money immediately after that date. The October date has been chosen to honor our Blessed Mother, the Patroness of Life. October is also the Month of the Rosary, and is Respect Life Month.

Whether or not your Council is able to help financially, we ask for your constant prayers for all the expectant mothers, the Pro-life movement, and the success of this project.

If you have any questions, please contact us at the address below.

God bless you and your families!
Yours in Christ,
Tom Hahn, Pro-Life Chairman

"When the time comes as it surely will, when we face that awesome moment, the final judgment, I've often thought, as Fulton Sheen wrote, that it is a terrible moment of loneliness. You have no advocates, you are there alone standing before God and a terror will rip through your soul like nothing you can imagine. But I really think that those in the pro-life movement will not be alone. I think there will be a chorus of voices that have never been heard in this world but are heard beautifully and clearly in the next world and they will plead for everyone who has been in this movement. They will say to God, "Spare him because he loved us," and God will look at you and say not, "Did you succeed?" but "Did you try?"--Congressman Henry Hyde

UN Petition for the Unborn Child and the Family

Brother Knights,

Here is a simple thing we can do for the unborn: sign a petition to be presented to the UN asking them to take a stance to protect life. All this requires is the time to open a website and sign a petition - details are below.

Thanks to Larry Flick for forwarding. Please send this to friends and family so collectively we can get to the 1 million signature goal!

Thank you.

October 14, 2009

Dear Friend,

I am writing with some wonderful news. We have relaunched the UN Petition for the Unborn Child and the Family and in only a few days have received 30,000 signatures.

As you recall, last year we launched this petition, which gathered 467,000 names in just a few weeks. We presented this petition to the UN at a press conference, which was broadcast throughout UN headquarters.

The petition calls for Member States of the UN to interpret the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as protecting the unborn child from abortion. It also calls for special protection for the family! These are ideas that are right out of the original Universal Declaration but that have been forgotten over time. We must remind them!

We have relaunched the petition with the view to getting a total of 1 million names by December 1. That’s right; 1,000,000 names to stand up for the unborn child and the family.

A few years ago opponents of the death penalty presented one million names and they received global attention. Certainly, we can get that many for the defenseless unborn child!

I urge you right now to go HERE and sign the petition. You may have signed the petition last year. If so, the system will let you know. The key thing is to send this message to your friends and family and get as many pro-lifers to sign the petition as possible. Even if you have signed this petition already, I urge you to forward this message to everyone you can think of, your entire address book if you feel so called!

Go HERE and sign the petition. And then send this message to EVERYONE!

When you go HERE you will also see the petition is translated into 15 languages! So, if your friends are Spanish, Chinese, German, Croatian, or others, they can read and sign the petition in their own language.

We must show the UN there is global support for the unborn child and the family. Please go HERE and send this message to every pro-lifer you know.

Remember to pray for the success of this good work, too!

Sincerely,

Austin Ruse

Witness for Life Oct.17th

Witness for Life Oct.17th

October 17th, 2009 - a group of 10 Knights, spouses, and children from Arch Bishop Elder Council #1195 gathered in the cold, pre-dawn hours of October 17th to witness for life in front of the Planned Parenthood facility in Cincinnati. We joined others in praying the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, then attended mass at the Holy Name Church a couple blocks away. As a unified body, the congregation processed back to the abortuary after mass to resume our witness.

Participating Knights: Grand Knight Bill Malarick, Jonathon Pearson, Dave Ledwin, Fred Bowling, Frank Merle, Steve Bay, Larry Flick, and Tom Hahn.
